For those of you who are traveling from out-of-town, we are so grateful that you are making the trip to Italy for our wedding celebration. This means the world to us! Have a look at the travel suggestions below which will hopfully make your trip smoother.

By flight

The airport closest to Rignana is Firenze (47 km). Alternatively, consider flying in into Bologna (129 km) or Pisa (90 km). From Bologna, the high speed train connection only takes 37 minutes. Travelling from Pisa takes a bit longer, as you’ll have to catch a bus and then a regional train. But Ryanair fares sometimes justify the effort!

Once in Florence, we recommend renting a car, but only when you plan to leave the city: parking is scarce and expensive in Florence, and fines are very common. The city is small and you can walk to all major spots, so you won’t need the car while you are there!

By car

The wedding venue is located in Via di Rignana, 15, Greve In Chianti (FI). On Google maps it is listed as “Fattoria e Villa di Rignana Agriturismo e Azienda Vinicola”. These are the coordinates.

If you’ll be coming by car, please let us know if you’d be willing to carpool with other guests.

By shuttle

We are considering renting a shuttle to transport guests from the recommended accommodations to the wedding venue and back. If you are indeed staying in one of these hotels (see the “Alloggio” page) and you are interested in this type of transport, please let us know.
